You'll own end-to-end delivery-from elaborating requirements with DCO, through App Studio / Dev Studio implementation, PegaUnit testing, and CI/CD via Pega Deployment Manager-while ensuring guardrail compliance, performance, security, and operational reliability in production., Implement Pega application logic using data pages, data transforms, activities (when appropriate), decision tables / trees, when rules, and validations with strong adherence to Pega guardrails and reusable design patterns. Configure UX via App Studio (views, personas, channels) and refine in Dev Studio; leverage Constellation / DX API patterns where applicable for consistent, accessible user experiences. Integrate Pega with enterprise systems of record using REST / SOAP connectors, file / queue patterns, eventing (e.g., JMS / Kafka if applicable), and robotic automations via Pega Robot Manager where needed; define and maintain integration contracts and error handling strategies. Apply Directly Capture Objectives (DCO) to translate business processes into executable Pega designs, authoring specifications, test cases, and acceptance criteria that stay in sync with the application. Implement document-centric automations (e.g., intake, classification, data extraction) by orchestrating OCR / AI services from Pega workflows and managing exception paths and human-in-the-loop steps. Enforce security using Pega roles, access groups, privileges, ABAC / RBAC, authentication and service package policies; partner with enterprise security for encryption and compliance requirements. Ensure quality with PegaUnit tests, scenario tests, service level mocks, and automated regression packs; collaborate with QA on end-to-end test data and environments. Optimize performance using tools such as PAL, Tracer, DB Trace, and PDC (Predictive Diagnostic Cloud); tune data pages, query strategies, caching, and guardrail scores to meet SLAs. Own CI/CD for Pega via Deployment Manager (or equivalent pipelines) including branch-based development, application packaging, product rulesets, and Azure-backed environment promotion. Instrument observability: configure PDC subscriptions, log / alert routing, health dashboards, and KPIs that track case throughput, backlog, SLA adherence, and automation success rates. Conduct impact assessments for platform upgrades (Pega version / hotfixes), ruleset refactoring, data model changes, and integration updates; plan remediation for deprecated features and guardrail exceptions. Lead and participate in peer reviews (rules, branches, data models, integration layers), provide technical guidance, and mentor associate engineers on Pega best practices and reusability. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business SMEs, Architects, and adjacent platform teams to prioritize the IA backlog, define MVP scopes, sequence dependencies, and align workflow releases with program increments. Produce clear technical documentation: application and data models, decision logic, integration mappings, exception handling, operational runbooks, and support playbooks. Support production with an ownership mindset: triage incidents, perform root cause analysis, deliver hotfixes via controlled pipelines, and drive continuous improvement of stability and user experience. Maintain currency with Pega platform capabilities (Constellation, DX API, App Studio tooling, case management enhancements, decisioning, Robot Manager) and contribute to shared design standards and accelerators. This list is not all-inclusive; you may be asked to perform other Pega delivery duties aligned to Intelligent Automation objectives. ## Related Videos - [Building an agentic software factory: How we rebuilt product development at Pipedrive](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100261-building-an-agentic-software-factory-how-we-rebuilt-product-development-at-pipedrive) - [HTTP headers that make your website go faster](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1676-http-headers-that-make-your-website-go-faster) - [Data Science on Software Data](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/162-data-science-on-software-data) - [User 1st!
