## About the Role

* Demonstrable Product Owner experience in a digital/IT environment within insurance, ideally at a senior level with 5+ years in claims.
 * Confident in presenting to and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
 * Solid understanding of automation technologies and working knowledge of AI/ML applications in insurance, along with strong product governance experience.
 * Experience working with data teams to define requirements, interpret model outputs and challenge assumptions.
 * Strong grounding in Agile product delivery principles, including roadmap ownership, backlog and demand management, prioritisation frameworks and value-based decision making.
 * Understanding of UK insurance regulation and of governance, risk and compliance requirements in IT delivery.
 * Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent.

## Description

* Working with the Consumer Experience Director and Claims Director to define the claims product vision and roadmap, translating business strategy into a prioritised backlog.
 * Setting and communicating a phased STP strategy with clear milestones and success metrics, and tracking product-level performance against them.
 * Playing a leading role in the transformation programme, including helping design new operating models and embedding good product practice within the team.
 * Maintaining a single, transparent, prioritised backlog as the primary intake point for change requests and improvement ideas, ensuring documentation is complete and fit for ongoing continuous improvement.
 * Supporting the structured handover of knowledge, products and delivery ownership from the current Claims system programme into BAU, including planning for retention and succession within a long-tenured, highly experienced team.
 * Identifying and prioritising automation opportunities across the claims lifecycle, and articulating trade-offs between cost, scope, sequencing, value and delivery capacity to support decision-making.
 * Co-ordinating delivery across IT teams within an agile, matrix-managed environment, agreeing clear goals for each delivery cycle and aligning product priorities with available capacity and wider IT priorities.
 * Ensuring strong product governance throughout, particularly as AI capabilities are integrated into claims processes.
 * Overseeing testing, data migration and cutover planning for legacy-to-new platform transitions.
