They are responsible for creating a cohesive brand identity across all University website pages to deliver an excellent marketing impression to a wide variety of audiences. This position is responsible for driving web-based conversions toward university marketing goals such as student and employee recruitment, scholarship donations, and public awareness. The role collaborates closely with the marketing team and other stakeholders to create UI/UX designs, functional interfaces, and new web features. The Web Designer performs ongoing maintenance to ensure web performance, security, and cross-browser functionality. They also design and implement new webpages and campaign landing pages focused on driving conversions toward university marketing goals. This role is the point of contact for all web-related inquiries from members of campus. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, familiarity with content management systems, and effective communication with departments and other MarCom team members to understand requirements and manage project timelines. Essential Job Functions: * Take the lead role in designing, creating, and maintaining the University's website, focusing on functionality, user experience, appearance, accessibility, and conversion rate optimization. * Regularly evaluate organization and layout of websites/pages and implement appropriate information architectures to maximize user experience, website performance, and best practices. * Coordinate with other members of campus to create and modify webpages for specific purposes or outcomes.
