The role involves refactoring and enhancing existing Linux-based batch processing scripts, integrating with SQL Server-based databases, supporting file processing workflows, and ensuring smooth operation of enterprise data pipelines. The environment includes Linux scripts, enterprise batch jobs, Informatica integrations, and large-scale data processing workflows, Analyze, port and refactor existing C-Shell and K-Shell scripts as part of the SQL Server migration. Modify Linux batch processing scripts to connect and interact with SQL Server databases. Develop and enhance automation scripts for data loading, extraction, validation, and reconciliation processes. Support execution, monitoring, and troubleshooting of batch jobs and file-processing workflows. Create shell scripts to execute and schedule Informatica workflows and related data processing jobs. Work closely with database, ETL, and application teams to support migration and integration activities. Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and support for Linux scripts.
