## About the Role

Must-have:

 * Proficiency in backend development using TypeScript (Node.js) with a strong grasp of asynchronous programming - this is a dealbreaker requirement.
 * Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and at least one ORM (Drizzle preferred) for data access.
 * Experience with Next.js, including API routes or server components for backend services.
 * Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and designing scalable, maintainable core services.
 * C1+ English language proficiency (written and verbal).

Nice to have:

 * Experience integrating Stripe payments and related billing flows.
 * Exposure to the broader stack: Temporal, Hono, Tailwind, Fragment.
 * Strong CS fundamentals - formal degree or equivalent practical experience.
 * Ownership mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.

This role sits on the core infrastructure team, where you'll architect and scale systems that power modular billing engines, low-level energy-market communication protocols, and full accounting ledgers. What You'll Do

 * Solve for complexity through design - tackle hard architectural problems and design systems that remain clean and maintainable as they scale.
 * Scale the core - build and evolve the backbone infrastructure that supports dynamic electricity plans and reliable billing at scale.
 * Bias for action - ship with speed and confidence; move projects forward decisively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
 * Raise the bar - champion engineering excellence through code reviews, technical discussions, and leading by example.
