## About the Role

* Previous experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, Help Desk, Field Support, or a similar technical support role
 * Strong troubleshooting experience with computer hardware and software
 * Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11
 * Experience with Microsoft 365
 * Familiarity with SCCM
 * Experience troubleshooting VPN connectivity
 * Basic understanding of Azure and cloud-based user support
 * Experience troubleshooting user accounts and access issues
 * Strong customer service and communication skills
 * Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger onsite IT support team
 * Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on, onsite IT support in Palo Alto, CA. This is a 3+ month contract with a strong possibility of extension for candidates who perform well. You will join a larger onsite technical support team and provide direct support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of IT equipment.

Desktop Support Technician Responsibilities

 * Provide onsite desktop and field support to end users and customers
 * Install, configure, service, repair, upgrade, and maintain computer systems and related equipment
 * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues
 * Support users with Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
 * Troubleshoot user accounts and access-related issues
 * Provide support for Microsoft 365, VPN, Azure, and other enterprise technologies
 * Utilize SCCM for endpoint management and support activities
 * Investigate and assist with complex installation, maintenance, and technical support issues
 * Verify system functionality and operational quality following installations, repairs, and upgrades
 * Escalate issues to the appropriate internal teams or service areas for additional troubleshooting and resolution
 * Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal support teams
 * Educate users on the proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment
 * Analyze recurring technical issues and assist with reporting on system problem trends
