Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. * Industry certifications related to cloud services, software defined storage, Ceph, OpenStack, or related technologies are highly preferred. ## Description Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Defined Storage to design, implement, and manage enterprise storage infrastructure within a modern Software Defined Storage environment. This role will focus on delivering highly available, secure, and scalable storage services that support critical compute platforms, including Kubernetes, Nutanix, VMware, and OpenStack environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in distributed storage technologies and a strong automation mindset to help evolve next generation storage platforms. Responsibilities: * Implement and administer highly available storage solutions within a Software Defined Storage framework, with a strong focus on Ceph environments. * Provide unified storage access through NVMe over Fabrics TCP, S3 Object Storage, and traditional storage protocols. * Design and support object, block, and file storage architectures utilizing technologies such as Amazon S3, OpenStack Swift, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB CIFS. * Integrate storage platforms with Bare Metal Kubernetes, Nutanix, VMware, and OpenStack environments. * Support storage drivers and client protocols for containerized and virtualized workloads. * Collaborate with infrastructure teams on data protection and disaster recovery strategies. * Implement rack aware data placement and storage resiliency methodologies to maintain data integrity and availability. * Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Go, or Bash to improve operational efficiency and scalability. * Troubleshoot complex storage performance, capacity, availability, and recovery issues. * Contribute to the strategic evolution of enterprise storage services and operational best practices.
