## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field

 + Demonstrated technical expertise and proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++ Demonstrated software development experiences using Python

 + Experience with Git or similar version control tools

 + Working knowledge of product development methodologies and stage-gate development processes

Preferred Qualifications

 + Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

 + Experience with industrial communication protocols, including Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, and EtherCAT

 + Experience with Control Systems and Digital Signal Processing algorithm design

 + Experience with Real-Time Operation System (RTOS)

 + Knowledge of FPGA / HDL / SystemVerilog.

## Description

The Firmware Engineering position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition.
