Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Insights Officer - **Company:** Right to Succeed - **Location:** Manchester, UK (Remote available) - **Salary:** £61,734.0 - £66,768.0 - **Contract:** Temporary contract - **Skills:** Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis, Big Data, Data Presentation, Pivot Tables, Power BI, Data Management - **Published:** August 25, 2026 - **Apply:** https://uk.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=24751f4a27db0203 ## About the Role Experience (essential) * Experience of using data to tell stories, demonstrate impact and create positive change * Experience of analysing quantitative (e.g. surveys, performance metrics) and qualitative (e.g. interview, focus group) data to generate structured insight reports and recommendations * Experience of presenting insights in clear, accessible formats for a range of audiences (e.g. senior management, school leaders, external stakeholders) * Experience of analysing data related to public or third sector services or social sciences to generate insights * Experience of using data visualising software, such as PowerBI, to draw out insights Experience (desirable) * An understanding of, and interest in, child development and wellbeing * Experience of analysing data related to children and young people * Experience of analysing education data * Supporting the other members of the Data & Insights Team with the design and delivery of training that builds the data capabilities of staff and delivery partners, such as schools Skills & Personal Qualities (essential) * High level of proficiency in excel, including writing formulas (e.g. vlookups, countifs) & using pivot tables * Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks without close supervision * Ability to understand big data sets and data tables and quality check to prevent errors * Proactive in approach, thinks ahead and takes initiative * Adaptive to changing deadlines and challenges as they arise * Ability to think creatively and problem solve using data; strong critical reasoning skills * Ability to work well with other teams in a small organisation * Confidence to communicate well with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders * Commitment to Right to Succeed values and our mission for children and young people ## Description Location: Contractually based from our Manchester Office, with some flexibility to work from home, subject to business requirements and line manager approval. Regular travel to programmes in the North West and occasional travel to other areas, as required. Key Relationships: Other members of the Data & Insights Team, wider Programme Infrastructure Team, local Programme delivery teams, We are seeking a proactive team player with excellent analytical & storytelling skills to join our Data & Insights Team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Data & Insights Manager, and working closely with other members of the Data & Insights Team, the Insights Officer will take a leading role in using data and stories to drive impact for children and young people engaging with our local programmes. Key Objectives of this role include: * Planning and designing of quantitative and qualitative data collection from schools, delivery partners and Right to Succeed's programmes team * Using data outputs, such as PowerBI dashboards, and analysing quantitative and qualitative data from a range of sources to tell stories, demonstrate our impact and drive learning * Supporting with the communication of insights and findings to the wider organisation to embed a culture of data driven decision making * Supporting the wider team to clearly report on our delivery and outcomes to a range of internal and external audiences, * Working closely with other members of the Data & Insights Team, Programme Managers, schools and community delivery partners to ensure data is accurately collected from a wide network * Using data outputs, such as PowerBI dashboards, to look for key trends and insights and presenting findings in clear, compelling ways to make data accessible to non-technical staff * Analysing quantitative and qualitative data from a range of sources to tell stories, demonstrate our impact and drive learning * Collaborating with the other members of the Programme Infrastructure Team to generate learning and insight to evaluate our programmes, improve service delivery and drive impact for children and young people * Supporting our delivery partners, including schools, to access and interpret their data more effectively * Using data to look for trends across our different programmes (both current and historical) and support other members of the Programme Infrastructure team to look for patterns and learnings that can be fed back into our programmes * Support other members of the Programme Infrastructure team to undertake evaluations that will help to embed learning back into our programmes * Building strong relationships with our programme delivery teams and partners (schools, Local Authorities, VCSEs & community groups etc.) to ensure that data and insights are meaningful and useful to their work Please note the critical responsibilities of this role are described above.
