This role blends hands-on technical judgment with people leadership - you'll guide your team's execution on continuous integration (CI), build systems, artifact management and release automation, while partnering closely with senior engineers and technical leads on day-to-day design and operational decisions. You'll be accountable for your team's health and execution, translating broader platform strategy into concrete, achievable work for your team. In this role, you will: * Guide the technical direction for your team's area of ownership within the CI, build and artifact management - helping shape design decisions on pipelines, optimizations, or automation. * Identify opportunities to modernize workflows and reduce friction in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and help drive adoption of new platform capabilities across internal teams. * Uphold standards for reliability, performance, and security within your team's scope, balancing high-availability requirements with developer experience. * Break down roadmap priorities into clear, actionable plans for your team, and track relevant business metrics (e.g. CI reliability, build time, artifactory latency). * Manage day-to-day execution, including technical debt tradeoffs and unblocking your team to hit measurable outcomes. * Grow and support your team members directly - regular 1:1s, mentorship, and fostering ownership and collaboration within the team.
