This role is essential in leading our Digital & Information Services to ensure that world-class clinical care and the safety of our children and young people remain at the heart of our digital excellence. You will help bridge the gap between shared vision and technical execution, ensuring GOSH maximises the opportunities of AI, ICT, and information to drive performance., * Develop and implement strategic plans for ICT services, infrastructure and cyber security that align with the Trust's long-term goals and operational needs * Contribute to the design and execution of technology roadmaps covering data centres, cloud tenancies, application delivery, network capacity and cyber security infrastructure * Conduct research and make informed recommendations on emerging technologies, products and standards to support innovation and service improvement * Provide day-to-day leadership of the Digital & Information Services department, ensuring safe, effective and customer-focused operations. * Own operational performance management: service levels, availability, capacity, incident/problem management, demand and prioritisation across the portfolio. * Ensure robust operational governance (service reviews, risk and issue escalation, change control and clinical safety assurance where applicable). * Lead the operational response to major incidents affecting digital services, ensuring clear communications, rapid recovery and post-incident learning. Delivery and continuous improvement * Translate the Trust's digital strategy and CDIO priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones and measurable outcomes for the department. * Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of processes, adopting appropriate best practice IT service management) to improve reliability and user experience.
