## About the Role

* Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar)
 * Proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering or systems administration
 * Financial services or banking experience is essential
 * Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
 * Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
 * Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or equivalent)
 * Solid understanding of security frameworks and best practices
 * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills

 * Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
 * Exposure to DevOps practices or infrastructure-as-code
 * Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools
 * Understanding of regulatory requirements within financial environments

## Description

We are seeking a highly capable IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a robust, secure, and scalable technology environment within a fast-paced financial services setting. This role will play a key part in managing core infrastructure, driving system improvements, and ensuring high availability across critical platforms.The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, hands-on infrastructure experience, and a background working within financial or banking environments.Key Responsibilities

 * Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud environments
 * Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, ensuring optimal uptime
 * Manage and support on-premise and cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or similar)
 * Maintain network security, firewalls, and access controls in line with best practices
 * Collaborate with internal teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and technical solutions
 * Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
 * Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution
 * Ensure systems operate in compliance with regulatory and security requirements relevant to financial services
