## About the Role

We're looking for a technically strong Design Engineer with excellent leadership skills and experience delivering high-quality renewable energy or building services projects., * Proven experience designing renewable energy systems, particularly Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

 * Strong background within Building Services or Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) design
 * Experience managing projects from concept through to detailed design
 * Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers, or the ambition to move into a leadership role
 * Excellent understanding of BIM processes and RIBA design stages
 * Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and renewable energy standards

Technical Skills

Experience using one or more of the following:

 * AutoCAD
 * Revit
 * IES
 * EasyPV
 * Heat loss calculation software
 * Mechanical building services design packages

## Description

* Lead, mentor and support a team of Design Engineers
 * Take ownership of projects following technical handover from the sales team
 * Produce detailed technical designs for renewable energy and mechanical building services systems
 * Design Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), Solar PV, MVHR and complete M&E solutions
 * Complete heat loss and heat gain calculations, room-by-room analysis and system sizing
 * Produce detailed schematics, layouts and technical specifications
 * Act as the technical lead for installation teams, providing guidance and resolving design queries
 * Manage design workloads to ensure project deadlines and service levels are achieved
 * Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors and clients throughout the design process
 * Implement and maintain BIM processes while ensuring compliance with RIBA design stages
