Experience with C# .NET backend work, CI/CD or regulated industries such as FinTech is desirable but not mandatory. Reporting to the Tech Lead you will join a cross-functional Squad and work closely with Automation Testers, Designers, Product Owners and Data Engineers. The role is primarily focused on web development with regular opportunities to contribute across the stack; you will be expected to deliver high quality features while working within the Squad's agile processes. In this role you will contribute to the expansion and improvement of features on the web platform, grow and refine our web component library, and enhance user interfaces with a strong emphasis on accessibility and performance. Day to day work includes implementing and maintaining existing systems, suggesting and owning improvements where appropriate, collaborating on delivery priorities, participating in code reviews and mentoring more junior engineers. Success will require pragmatic problem solving - knowing when to dig deep and when to escalate - while keeping a user centric and performance first mindset. Our technical approach is vanilla first on the front end: semantic, accessible HTML, styling using SCSS and components implemented with standards-based Web Components. The back end is Microsoft .NET, primarily using event driven microservices architecture.
