Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting public sector, local government, or county agency websites. * Experience managing inter-agency resource links and multi-departmental content structures.

## Description

Role Overview The Drupal Web Developer / Search Specialist executes a targeted scope of work focused on redesigning the website home page and enhancing site search capabilities. This role handles front-end development, Solr search engine integrations, content placement, accessibility compliance (WCAG), and site security maintenance within a Drupal CMS hosting environment. The position offers flexible part-time hours ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week., Front-End Development & Search Optimization * Execute a website home page redesign using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end web frameworks. * Enhance and optimize site search capabilities utilizing Drupal search engine technologies, specifically Apache Solr. * Troubleshoot technical issues related to website functionality, server configurations, and user access in collaboration with IT support and external vendors.
Drupal Content Management & Accessibility * Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, using the Drupal CMS platform. * Ensure content placement meets organizational design standards, WCAG accessibility guidelines, accuracy, and timeliness. * Configure and implement service-related links connecting to inter-departmental, local, state, and federal agency resources.
Website Security & Maintenance * Implement website security best practices, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention protocols. * Perform regular software, plugin, module, and theme updates to maintain security and monitor for vulnerabilities.
