## Description

* We are seeking an experienced Designer / Lead Developer to join our Public Sector team.
 * This is a long-term role focused on developing and supporting Ophthalmic systems, requiring someone who can work independently, lead small development teams, and build deep domain and system knowledge.
 * The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise, the ability to guide and mentor developers and testers, and a commitment to understanding complex healthcare systems vital to public sector operations., * Act as Lead Developer and technical designer, contributing to architecture, solution design, and hands-on implementation.
 * Lead and coordinate a small team of developers and testers, ensuring quality delivery and adherence to best practices.
 * Work independently to analyse, design, develop, and enhance Ophthalmic system components.
 * Build and maintain long-term domain knowledge of Ophthalmic workflows, business rules, and system integrations.
 * Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and drive technical decisions.
 * Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through reviews, refactoring, and standards enforcement.
 * Support CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins and Git.
 * Provide technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support where required.

Essential Skills:

 * Experience Java (expert-level)
 * Spring Framework
 * Hibernate
 * JBoss Drools (business rules engine)
 * Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline management)
 * Git (source control)
