Especially helping junior colleagues develop and grow * Able to think strategically for the long term but also see what needs to be done now * Experience working on change programmes both security focused ones and broader IT or organisational change programmes * A passion for working at an organisation that expands our knowledge of everything from the structure of the universe to the treatment of previously incurable conditions ## Description This role is within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance function of the UCL Information Security Group. We are seeking a Lead Information Security Officer to serve as the Head of a new Information Security Consulting Team. The role holder will help to set the security standards for the university and then lead their team in helping all of UCL meet these standards. The traditional security approach of telling people "what not to do" does not meet the needs of a fast moving research university. The role holder will mentor junior team members and work to build on the security knowledge of key teams. Both providing security support and helping teams understand their security responsibilities.
