Experience of government-funded schemes, retrofit projects or local government project reporting would be advantageous. An understanding of PAS 2035 and a relevant degree-level qualification would also be welcomed but are not essential requirements Why join us? This is an opportunity to play a key role in tackling climate change locally through supporting innovative decarbonisation projects and helping residents make their homes more sustainable. About the role Climate action is one of the Council's key priorities as a central theme of our Bassetlaw Vision 2040 plan, and this is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in helping us deliver our environmental ambitions. As a Climate Change Officer, you will primarily work across a programme of projects that support decarbonisation, sustainability and energy efficiency throughout the district. A significant part of the role will involve leading the day-to-day delivery of a domestic retrofit scheme, helping residents improve the energy efficiency of their homes while reducing carbon emissions and tackling fuel poverty. Beyond project delivery, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the Council's climate change strategies, action plans and wider environmental initiatives.
