Preferred Skills * Jira * Local, state, or federal government experience. ## Description Job Description: This position provides ongoing application data maintenance and User Acceptance Testing for upgrades/new software releases for the DAVE application. DAVE is a proprietary software that is used for collecting, registering and issuing vital records in the State of Maine. The role is responsible for problem identification, documentation, and communication of issues to be remediated by the application vendor. There are two planned software releases a year. With every release there are approximately 1200 scripts to test every aspect of the system s functionality. Technical skills such as a system analyst or programming skills are not necessary for completing user acceptance testing; however, the work involves review, examination, and evaluation of the system and how the system functions as it pertains to the policies and regulation governing the administration of vital records. It requires project management and organization skills to ensure communication, information flow and in documentation of past and future enhancements. It serves as a liaison between the vendor and OIT. The position is responsible for completing the user acceptance testing for the software, summarizing the findings including defects, and conveying future needs and enhancements.
