Preferred Skills & Certifications: * Experience with state healthcare systems and Medicaid operations. * Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. * Previous experience working in government or public health sectors. * Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus. ## Description The IT Healthcare Consultant - Project Manager will lead and manage projects focused on Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) and their replacement systems within the Bureau of Medicaid Systems. This role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with state requirements, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver effective healthcare IT solutions. Responsibilities: * Manage and oversee MMIS system projects and replacement initiatives. * Coordinate project activities and resources to meet timelines and deliverables. * Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project success. * Ensure compliance with state policies and contractual requirements. * Provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders. * Support transition from fully onsite to hybrid work schedule as directed by management., * Candidate must provide a valid Right to Represent and complete required documentation. * Withdrawn candidates cannot be replaced. * Sub vendor usage allowed only one level deep with prior approval. * Fully onsite work required for the first 30-90 days, transitioning to hybrid schedule at manager's discretion. * Candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to South Carolina before starting.
