That includes: * Designing, deploying, and supporting LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructure across multiple sites * Standing up network infrastructure at new facilities as the company expands in Western New York and beyond * Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and tuning for the demands of warehouse operations (high-density Wi-Fi, RF scanners, WMS traffic, voice picking, security cameras, EDI) * Maintaining firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and other perimeter and internal security controls in partnership with the broader IT and security team * Managing site-to-site connectivity, carrier circuits, and ISP relationships - including troubleshooting circuit issues with carriers and pushing for resolution * Owning configuration management, change control, and documentation for the network estate * Responding to incidents, leading root-cause analysis, and improving runbooks and monitoring so the same issue doesn't happen twice * Partnering with warehouse operations, applications, and customer onboarding teams when network design decisions affect the floor * Supporting and mentoring junior IT staff as the team grows around this hire, * Background supporting WMS or ERP-adjacent networks (warehouse management, EDI, etc) * Exposure to security frameworks relevant to logistics customers (SOC 2, CTPAT, NIST CSF) Why is this role different? * You're early, not late.
