## About the Role

* High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
 * Computer Specialist I: HS/GED and six years related experience with requirement to receive bachelor's degree within six years of hire OR Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
Computer Specialist II: HS/GED and eight years related experience and demonstrated progress toward bachelor's degree or bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.
Computer Specialist III: HS/GED and ten years related experience and demonstrated progress toward bachelor's degree or bachelor's degree and five years of related experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

 * Experience with multiple computer platforms and operating systems, client-based networking software (TCP/IP), MS Office, Outlook, internet browsers, peripherals (e.g. printers, scanners), and multimedia equipment (e.g. projectors, document cameras).
 * Ability to follow manuals, read and interpret complicated instructions.
 * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
 * Ability and desire to work independently and in a team environment., * Bachelor's in Technology-related areas
 * Bachelor's Degree and five years related experience OR High school and 10 years related experience and demonstrated progress toward Bachelor's degree

## Description

The Computer Specialist is an integral role within the College of Arts and Sciences IT department. The position will:

 * Provide creative solutions for technology operations within the College of Arts & Sciences administration, academic departments, instructional computing labs, and multimedia classrooms.
 * Provide analysis, support, and training for technology-related issues to college and department personnel. Technologies supported include Windows, Macintosh, Linux, consumer and professional grade peripherals, and presentation equipment.
 * Perform all other duties as assigned.
