## About the Role

* Wissenschaftlicher Hochschulabschluss, idealerweise mit Promotion, in Ingenieur- oder Naturwissenschaften und Schwerpunkt auf numerische Simulation und Entwicklung mathematischer Modelle.
 * Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der Simulation und Modellentwicklung von Strömungs- und Transportprozessen in verfahrenstechnischen Anlagen.
 * Erfahrung in mathematischer Modellierung und Simulation und Simulations-Werkzeugen, wie z.B. OpenFOAM, Fluent, COMSOL oder vergleichbaren Werkzeugen, und Bereitschaft zur schnellen Einarbeitung in und Weiterentwicklung von relevanten Glas-spezifischen Modellierungs-Werkzeugen
 * Analytische, strukturierte und zugleich pragmatische Vorgehensweise mit gutem technischem Urteilsvermögen.
 * Motiviert, technische Neugier und Freude an Forschung und Innovation
 * Teamplayer mit guter interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit
 * Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit über Funktionen und Hierarchieebenen hinweg, fließend in deutscher und englischer Sprache.

## Description

* Analyse und Modellierung hochkomplexer Prozesse im Bereich der Heißformgebung für Spezialgläsern
 * Unterstützung der produzierenden Einheiten bei verfahrenstechnischen Entwicklungen und thermodynamischen Fragestellungen
 * Planung, Begleitung und Auswertung von Validierungsmessungen im Labormaßstab und an Produktionsanlagen.
 * Analyse und Bewertung von Simulationsergebnissen und Präsentation vor internen und externen Kunden
 * Erarbeitung von Lösungsvorschlägen für Prozessoptimierungen und neue innovativen Verfahren
 * Unterstützung bei der Konzeption und der stufenweisen Umsetzung von neuen Anlagen und Verfahren über Labor- und Pilotfertigungen bis zur Überführung in die Produktion, durch begleitende Modellentwicklung und Simulation
 * Transfer der gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in Produktionsumgebungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Technischem Service, Produktionsbetrieben und internationalen Teams.
 * Mitarbeit an interdisziplinären, standortübergreifenden und internationalen Forschungs- und Förderprojekten.
 * Weiterentwicklung von Modellen und Simulationsmethoden Absicherung der Arbeitsergebnisse durch Patente und Projektdokumentation
