## About the Role

* At least 5 years architecting, implementing, selling, and/or marketing virtualization and hypervisor solutions as a hands-on SME.
 * Strong, recent, hands-on technical expertise across both VMware (vSphere/vSAN/VCF) and Nutanix (AHV/Prism). This role requires genuine fluency in both platforms - not deep expertise in one and passing familiarity with the other. Currency matters; this is a fast-moving space.
 * Demonstrated ability to flex between different platform initiatives based on shifting customer and business demand.
 * Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical conversations with both engineers and executives.
 * Strong organizational, writing, and editing skills.
 * Practical working knowledge of modern AI tools - including Claude, which our team leverages heavily - and a demonstrated interest in using them to work more effectively.
 * Demonstrated teamwork and alignment with WWT's culture and core values.
 * Relevant vendor certifications (VMware VCP/VCAP, Nutanix NCP/NCM) or plan to immediately attain required.
 * Ability for overnight travel (25%-50%).
 * 4-year bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

## Description

* Provide technical pre-sales support to field sales teams across both VMware and Nutanix opportunities - winning new logos and growing existing relationships.
 * Lead customer-facing workshops, executive briefings, and technical advisory engagements on virtualization architecture and platform strategy.
 * Serve as a credible SME across our full virtualization portfolio, adapting to each customer's environment and objectives.
 * Build and maintain technical marketing and proof-of-work collateral - reference architectures, solution briefings, and thought leadership - for field teams and customers.
 * Collaborate with the larger GS&A team, professional services, regional sellers and architects, and sales leadership to advance the virtualization solution portfolio and go-to-market strategy.
 * Partner with Softchoice on joint co-selling motions.
 * Train WWT staff and strategic partners on our ability to market, sell, and deliver virtualization architectures.
 * Achieve and maintain certification requirements to sustain partner status and specializations.
