The platform supports end-to-end data capabilities across ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, analytics, data activation, and reverse ETL use cases. Snowflake,, dbt, Matillion, Python, and Terraform form the core of the technology stack, with Data Vault and Data Mesh principles playing a key role in how data is modelled, governed, owned, and delivered across business domains. You'll be responsible for defining scalable architecture patterns, designing robust data models and integration frameworks, establishing governance and platform standards, and enabling trusted data products that can support analytics, operational applications, customer-facing use cases, and downstream activation platforms. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong engineering expertise. You'll work closely with data engineering, analytics, cloud, security, architecture, and business teams to define standards, guide implementation, and ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, governed, and maintainable. office remoteEuropean Union, * Define and evolve the architecture for a modern Snowflake-based enterprise data platform * Design end-to-end data solutions covering ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, consumption, and activation * Establish architecture standards and reusable patterns across Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, Python, and Terraform * Define and govern Data Vault 2.0 and Data Mesh implementation patterns, including domain ownership, data products, and federated governance * Design scalable ingestion and transformation patterns for batch, incremental, API, SaaS, database, file-based data * Define data modelling standards across Raw Vault, Business Vault, dimensional models and analytical data products * Design data activation and reverse ETL patterns for operational platforms * Optimize Snowflake architecture for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and cost * Define standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, observability, access control, and governance * Drive CI/CD, DataOps, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code practices across the data platform * Provide architectural guidance, review technical designs, and support engineering teams with complex platform and data challenges ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [A Data Mesh needs Open Metadata](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/505-a-data-mesh-needs-open-metadata) - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Git for Code Reviews](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/429-git-for-code-reviews) - [Crafting Custom Frameworks with Rust: A Deep Dive into Procedural Macros](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/849-crafting-custom-frameworks-with-rust-a-deep-dive-into-procedural-macros) ## Related Articles - [Making Data Warehouses Fast: A Developer’s Story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/107-making-data-warehouses-fast-a-developer-s-story) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Top Big Data Technologies That You Need to Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/108-top-big-data-technologies-that-you-need-to-know)
