Recent experience providing training and support for a LMS., A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position., * E-Verify Poster (English and Spanish) [PDF] * Right to Work Poster (English) [PDF] * Right to Work Poster (Spanish) [PDF] ## Description The Desktop Support Specialist provides frontline technical support to faculty, staff and students at the School of Law, ensuring reliable day-to-day technology and a positive first point of contact for IT services., * Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support, including responding to help requests, and installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware (PC and Mac), software, and related equipment to keep workstations running smoothly. Leads new employee IT orientations. * Maintains accurate, up-to-date records across support ticketing and inventory systems. Responds promptly to urgent or emergency issues, evaluating problems and taking proper action to resolve them quickly. * Serves as the school's Canvas administrator, supporting course setup, access, and basic troubleshooting. * Provides backup audio-visual support for the Media Services team as needed. * Other related responsibilities and functions as assigned., The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length., Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
