Those tasks may include setting up new users, updating software and hardware, trouble-shooting general IT issues, and supporting users in a mixed on-site Microsoft and cloud-based Google environment. The IT Coordinator supports Explora's leadership team with the implementation of a large suite of diverse programs for students and families. The IT Coordinator will directly provide technology and data support to the staff and leadership of the organization as well as coordinating external IT support as needed. The IT Coordinator also participates in a variety of administrative tasks related to calendaring, scheduling, communicating, coordinating, and accounting to assist the IT manager and Directors in leading the organization and fulfilling Explora's mission, vision, values, and programming commitments. The successful candidate will have, * Coordinate with the IT manager on the ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of the museum's IT resources, database, telephone, and business equipment systems. * Manage a variety of IT tasks, including setting up users, updating software and hardware, trouble-shooting general IT issues and providing first response, hands-on, direct technology, equipment, and database support to staff and client users. * Determine when IT and data support issues should be escalated to third party vendors * Maintain office files; implements an efficient system for other staff to access files and records. * Assist with the IT elements of onboarding & offboarding for staff. * Use a variety of software, including web, word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, social media, and presentation tools. * Handle confidential, personal, and proprietary information with discretion. * Provide excellent customer service via telephone, email, and in person. * Take initiative, complete tasks, and follow up in a timely manner. * Work occasional evenings and weekends. * Perform other general administrative support and duties as assigned by directors. Functional Work Characteristics * Requires sufficient skills to work in a business environment, including organizing, coordinating, exercising daily decision-making, analyzing, and interpreting. * Requires effective eye-and-hand coordination and manual dexterity. * Requires standing and walking approximately 25% of the time, with regular need to perform physical actions that include sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling materials, pulling, carrying, pushing, and climbing a ladder. * May occasionally require lifting of various materials and equipment to a maximum of 50 pounds., * Most essential duties are performed in a museum and office environment with exposure to a variety of business equipment and other pertinent materials normally found in this type of work setting. * Museum facilities may expose incumbents to high noise levels, temperature changes, liquid nitrogen, helium gas, electrical exposure, unpredictable ventilation, dust, and physical obstacles. * Work is normally performed in an area of limited privacy. Employment Screening and Compliance: * Background clearance as required by Explora and ECECD * Employees must comply with all operational policies, especially those involving the safety of fellow workers, volunteers, and clients/customers. * Employees must maintain a current and valid driver's license to perform work duties, if the position requires activities that require travel by motor vehicle, whether personal or company car.
