This is a newly awarded contract with a base year and four option years. You will be the architecture authority for an enterprise Microsoft environment supporting approximately 180 users, including roughly 20 SharePoint sites, eight Power Platform solutions, six Qlik Sense applications, and 100 Microsoft Teams instances - several of which integrate with large federal research administration systems. The flagship initiative is a full migration of on-premises SharePoint Subscription Edition sites to SharePoint Online. Beyond that, you own the architecture, security posture, and technical direction of the entire portfolio, including enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Azure OpenAI. This is a small, senior team. You will work directly with the customer's CIO, Contracting Officer's Representative, and Information Systems Security Officer, and your recommendations will shape the environment for the next five years. If you want visibility and ownership rather than a slot on a large delivery team, this is the role. What You'll Do Architecture and Migration * Design the target-state architecture for migrating on-premises SharePoint Subscription Edition sites to SharePoint Online, including site inventory and assessment, data mapping, permissions modeling, and migration sequencing * Author the Migration Plan for customer approval and validate full data integrity and functionality after migration * Architect integrations with federal enterprise systems and middleware, and develop plans of action for upstream web service changes within required timeframes Security and Compliance * Lead security authorization work in partnership with the customer's security team: System Security Plans, System Design Documents, Contingency Plans and annual testing, network diagrams, and configuration documentation * Drive vulnerability remediation to federal timelines - Critical within 30 days, High within 60, Medium within 90, Low within 180 - and support quarterly Plan of Action and Milestones updates * Own SonarQube configuration, quality gates, and remediation of SAST and DAST findings * Maintain an end-of-life calendar for operating systems, COTS products, and libraries, and prepare waivers where retirement timelines cannot be met Platform Ownership * Provide architecture, governance, security, and optimization for enterprise AI platforms including Microsoft Copilot and Azure OpenAI, including validation of AI outputs * Own database architecture across SQL Server and Azure SQL: schema design, performance optimization, and data integration * Oversee Qlik Sense environment architecture and analytics solution design * Direct Microsoft Teams governance across Groups and Channels Delivery and Client Engagement * Produce System Design Documents, Test Plans, and monthly executive status reporting * Lead weekly status meetings with customer management * Deliver written technology recommendations with cost-benefit justification * Conduct business analysis engagements with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities ## Related Videos - [Hacking MSSQL on Cloud.
