Standing and walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally. ## Description Reporting to the Metadata Supervisor, this position serves as a subject matter expert in series and related data elements as well as providing oversight to the systems and processes necessary for Series materials to include: researching, selecting and verifying appropriate titles and for the training, maintenance and ongoing workflow necessary to support the data driven demand for these materials. * Responsible for monitoring and updating data sets to implement Series offerings for Collection Development and Cataloging. * Identifies new series for FASTips and Series cuttering. * Offers guidance as needed not only for series data but also for other related data elements such as age range, classification and descriptors. * Updates data sets in Oracle including assigning contributors, Dewey and/or LC classification numbers, appropriate subject headings, geographic and cultural designators, Fiction genres, age ranges for juvenile materials, etc., pursuant to established coding guidelines and Library of Congress conventions. * Maintains series and contributor tables and their associated aliases. * Assists with data corrections, updates, edits and issues as necessary.
