* 10 or more years of experience in Visual COBOL V9 or higher application development and system architecture.
 * Proficiency in Oracle 19+ SQL database programming within Windows client-server environments.
 * Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and C# software development ecosystems.
 * Experience in leading technical software engineering teams and managing system deployment lifecycles.
 * Experience with Level 3 (L3) production support for mission-critical core business applications.
 * Experience in public sector government IT systems, driver and vehicle licensing platforms, or CJIS security standards.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

## Description

* Lead the COBOL software engineering team in the analysis, design, and modification of core business platforms.
 * Code, test, and debug complex Visual COBOL programs integrated with Oracle SQL databases.
 * Provide Level 3 (L3) production support and defect resolution for enterprise client-server applications.
 * Partner with business units to translate operational requirements into detailed technical specifications.
 * Coordinate system deployment schedules, code promotions, and integration testing across environments.
 * Mentor junior developers and review technical project deliverables to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
 * Deliver daily and weekly system status reports to software development managers and business analysts.
