 * Experience automating systems using Python or similar Scripting languages.
 * Solid understanding of PostgreSQL operations and performance considerations.
 * Familiarity with modern observability tools (eg New Relic, Sentry, Datadog).
 * Strong grasp of cloud security fundamentals, including IAM and network design.
 * Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads.
 * Experience operating systems in high-traffic or mission-critical environments.
 * Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration at scale.
 * Knowledge of additional Scripting or systems languages.
 * Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startups.
 * Own critical infrastructure at a growing, well-funded AI-native fintech.
 * Work closely with a small, highly capable engineering team.
 * In-person, highly collaborative culture based in San Francisco.

## Description

DevOps Engineer - Own and evolve the cloud infrastructure that underpins our product. Deeply cares about reliability, security, and automation, and enjoys working closely with application engineers.
Responsibilities

 * Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code.
 * Own deployment pipelines and automate operational workflows to keep the team moving fast.
 * Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
 * Manage and optimize production databases, including performance tuning, backups, and replication.
 * Establish and enforce infrastructure security best practices across environments.
 * Partner with product and engineering teams to support smooth releases and resolve production issues.
 * Build for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery from day one.
