What Sets You Apart - Deep Crossplane experience: compositions, XRDs, providers, and composition functions in Go. - Experience deploying into customer-owned cloud accounts or network-restricted environments. - Software supply-chain security experience: image signing, provenance attestation, and admission policy enforcement. ## Description This role owns the day-to-day build and operation of the AMS platform's cloud infrastructure - the foundation on which the AI agent fleet runs - working in close partnership with the infrastructure architecture lead. It is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of outcomes, using AI agents extensively for routine infrastructure work. What You'll Do - Own daily build and operations of a Crossplane-based fleet control plane on Kubernetes (Amazon EKS): authoring compositions and custom resource definitions, and contributing to composition functions written in Go. - Operate the CI-driven deployment model - GitHub Actions with OIDC-based cloud access - that applies desired state across the fleet. - Apply AI agents to routine infrastructure work - provisioning, patching, drift remediation - and contribute improvements to the team's shared agent tooling. - Support deployment operations across single-tenant client environments: coordinated rollouts, version management, and telemetry under constrained network egress. - Run the platform's managed observability and secrets foundations: Amazon Managed Prometheus and Grafana, and External Secrets Operator backed by AWS Secrets Manager. - Maintain infrastructure runbooks and roadmaps to the team's documentation standards, escalating novel architecture decisions to the infrastructure lead., AI agents are central to how this team works. In this role, you will coordinate multi-step agent workflows as part of your daily work, drawing on and extending the team's shared library of agent tooling, and reviewing agent-produced work by verifying evidence of correct behavior. Candidates should expect - and want - a working style in which AI multiplies their individual output several times over. This team is built on two commitments: deep craft - in engineering, architecture, product, operations, or compliance - and genuine fluency in AI-assisted ways of working. If you are excited by what your discipline becomes when AI agents handle the routine, we would like to meet you. ## Related Videos - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [5 steps for running a Kubernetes environment at scale](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/88-5-steps-for-running-a-kubernetes-environment-at-scale) - [Keeping applications secure by evolving OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100152-keeping-applications-secure-by-evolving-oauth-2-0-and-openid-connect) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [CI/CD with Github Actions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/856-ci-cd-with-github-actions) - [Crew Management System for Airlines: Plan duties for pilots & flight attendants worldwide](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1444-crew-management-system-for-airlines-plan-duties-for-pilots-flight-attendants-worldwide) ## Related Articles - [From Prototype to Production: Build AI Agents with This Free 4-Course Learning Path](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/655-from-prototype-to-production-build-ai-agents-with-this-free-4-course-learning-path) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [What is Agentic Programming and Why Should Developers Care?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/625-what-is-agentic-programming-and-why-should-developers-care) - [Dev Digest 162: AI careers, MCP, AWS best practices & floppy sweaters](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/571-dev-digest-162-ai-careers-mcp-aws-best-practices-floppy-sweaters) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers)
