## About the Role

* 2+ years of experience in database administration or a related database specialist role
 * Proficiency in SQL and experience with database platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
 * Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
 * Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
 * Strong understanding of data security, access management, and compliance best practices
 * Ability to obtain or currently hold a relevant security clearance (in order to access client systems)
 * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
 * Remote work environment

 * Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and optimize queries for efficiency
 * Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and backup/recovery procedures
 * Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to support data modeling and schema design
 * Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks
 * Perform regular database maintenance, patching, and version upgrades
 * Document database configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures
