Within the Engineering & Technology Raptor Avionics Organization at Lockheed Martin Space, leads a software engineering team developing tools for spacecraft integration, verification, automated testing, data acquisition, and test equipment control. Provides technical and people leadership while driving mission success. Responsibilities Include: * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, including staffing, onboarding, performance management, and career development. * Assign and prioritize work in alignment with program objectives, Agile sprint planning, and team capacity. * Provide technical leadership for software design, development, integration, and test supporting spacecraft subsystems. * Guide resolution of complex software and system integration issues across hardware-software interfaces. * Ensure adherence to software engineering standards, processes, and practices throughout the development lifecycle. * Lead execution to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives across software deliverables. * Communicate program status, technical risks, and issues to program, functional, and senior leadership, including customer-facing communication when required. * Support proposal development, resource planning, and cost estimation activities. * Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and automation., Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
