## Description

The Office of State Tax Commissioner is seeking an Information Processing Manager to lead the agency's Information Management Section. This position is responsible for overseeing information processing, records management, and information retention functions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of tax filings, effective management of agency records, and compliance with state and federal requirements. The Information Processing Manager works collaboratively with agency leadership, Information Technology, vendors, and employees to promote efficient operations, maintain data integrity, and protect confidential tax information.

The Information Processing Manager manages tax processing workflows, records retention practices, operational resources, and staff while identifying opportunities to improve business processes and service delivery. This position also serves as the agency's subject matter expert on IRS Publication 1075, ensuring compliance with federal requirements for safeguarding confidential tax information, coordinating IRS Safeguards reviews, and maintaining the agency's Compliance Assurance Process (CAP).
