The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership: setting standards, mentoring engineers, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery. Serving as the technical authority for all network engagements, the Team Lead is accountable for quality, documentation, and risk management, and for resolving advanced networking issues across the client base, taking projects from inception to production and end-user attestation. Technical Responsibilities * Architect and implement complex on-premises, virtual, and cloud (AWS/Azure) network infrastructures, taking projects from inception through production and end-user attestation. * Partner with the Network Team Architect to design, review, and validate network solutions prior to implementation. * Troubleshoot network-impacting outages quickly and efficiently in unfamiliar environments, with minimal client impact. * Implement and support advanced routing (OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP), L2 technologies (STP variants, 802.1x, 802.1ad), and core services (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS/NPS). * Design and troubleshoot VPN and tunneling technologies, including SSL/TLS, IPSEC, policy-based VPNs, and GRE. * Work hands-on in the CLI across Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, and Ruckus platforms. * Standardize and maintain accurate documentation of client network environments before handoff to support teams.
