## Description

The Software Engineer III is a senior engineer who owns complex features, provides technical leadership, and mentors other engineers - including in the effective and responsible use of AI coding agents as part of the team's standard development practice.
Responsibilities:
*

 + Lead design and implementation of complex features, using coding agents to accelerate multi-file and cross-service changes where appropriate.
 + Make architectural decisions focused on scalability and maintainability, including structuring code and documentation so agents can operate on it reliably.
 + Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in effective prompting, context management, and critical review of AI-generated code.
 + Define and share team best practices for when to use agentic tools, how to scope tasks for them, and how to validate their output.
 + Influence sprint planning and technical direction, including estimating how AI-assisted development changes delivery timelines.
 + Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis, including for issues introduced by AI-generated code.
 + Champion best practices across the team and evaluate new AI-assisted development tools and techniques.
 + Own front-end architecture decisions: component structure, state management, performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
 + Partner with UX/design to translate designs into performant, maintainable UI using JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and a modern front-end framework (Angular, React, or Vue).
 + Champion front-end engineering standards - accessibility, performance, and testing - across the team.
