Preferred Technical Skills ## Description La Marina is looking for a UX & Automation Designer to build, design, optimize, and manage the digital systems that power our customer experience and internal operations. This is a contract-based role focused on building and improving La Marina's automation infrastructure across multiple platforms. The role combines UX/UI design, workflow automation, systems integration, and operational process design. You will be responsible for creating seamless systems across La Marina's booking, customer communication, operations, fleet management, marketing, and internal workflows. The ideal candidate is someone who can look at a manual process and say, "This can be automated." Contract & Compensation * Engagement: Contract-based * Compensation: $100 for the project/contract * Work Arrangement: Remote * The contractor will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting the agreed-upon automation and UX systems. * Additional work or future projects may be discussed separately based on performance and La Marina's ongoing needs. Key Responsibilities1. Build La Marina's Automation Ecosystem * Design and implement automations across all major La Marina platforms. * Identify repetitive manual processes and convert them into automated workflows. * Build automated customer journeys from lead * inquiry * booking * confirmation * pre-trip * trip * post-trip * review/follow-up. * Automate internal notifications, reminders, task assignments, status changes, and follow-ups. * Create systems that reduce human error and improve operational efficiency. * Continuously monitor, test, troubleshoot, and improve existing automations. 2. Monday.com Systems & Workflow Design * Maintain and optimize La Marina's Monday.com workspaces, boards, dashboards, and workflows. * Create automated workflows for: * New bookings * Customer management * Staff assignments * Boat/jet ski availability * Maintenance * Scheduling * Payments and outstanding balances * Customer follow-ups * Staff notifications * Cancellations and rescheduling * Leads and sales pipelines * Create dashboards that provide management with real-time visibility into operations and performance. * Structure Monday.com so information flows automatically between departments and systems. 3. FleetFlow & Fleet Management Automation * Build and optimize FleetFlow workflows for La Marina's fleet operations. * Create systems for tracking boats, jet skis, equipment, availability, maintenance, inspections, and operational status. * Automate maintenance reminders and recurring operational tasks. * Create workflows that connect fleet status with booking and scheduling systems. * Develop processes that make it easy for the team to understand what equipment is available, booked, under maintenance, or unavailable. 4. UX/UI Design * Design intuitive interfaces and digital experiences for customers and internal team members. * Improve the customer journey across La Marina's website, booking systems, forms, emails, and digital touchpoints. * Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs where needed. * Ensure digital experiences are simple, mobile-friendly, intuitive, and conversion-focused. * Design internal dashboards and tools that make operations easier for employees. * Identify friction points in existing workflows and recommend UX improvements. 5. Cross-Platform Integrations Design and manage workflows connecting platforms such as: * Monday.com * FleetFlow * Booking platforms * Website * CRM systems * Payment platforms * Email and SMS systems * Forms and waiver systems * Marketing platforms * Customer review platforms * Calendar and scheduling tools * Other third-party applications used by La Marina The goal is to create a connected technology ecosystem where information moves automatically between platforms instead of being manually entered multiple times. 6. Customer Communication Automation Build automated communication sequences for: * Booking confirmations * Payment reminders * Waiver reminders * Pre-arrival instructions * Safety guidelines * Schedule reminders * Captain/crew information * Cancellation and rescheduling communications * Post-trip thank-you messages * Review requests * Repeat-booking campaigns * Promotional and upsell messages 7. Operations Automation Create systems that help La Marina manage daily operations efficiently. Examples include: Booking Received * Automatically create operational tasks * Notify team * Check availability * Assign equipment * Send customer confirmation * Trigger pre-trip reminders * Update fleet schedule * Complete post-trip workflow. Other workflows may include: * Staff scheduling * Captain assignments * Boat preparation * Jet ski preparation * Cleaning checklists * Maintenance requests * Equipment inventory * Customer complaints * Refunds * Cancellations * Rescheduling * Incident reporting * Daily operational checklists 8.
