Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. * Four (4) years of relevant network or systems administration experience, including at least two (2) years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise firewalls, network access control, wireless networks, or related network-security technologies. * Experience administering and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure. * Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls. * Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and network access control technologies and processes. * Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks, wireless controllers, access points, and applicable wireless-network standards. * Experience with F5 Networks load-balancing and application-delivery technologies. * Experience using Splunk or another SIEM platform for security and operational monitoring. * Experience supporting continuous diagnostics and mitigation, vulnerability remediation, or configuration-compliance activities. * Experience with VMware AirWatch and Microsoft Intune for endpoint or mobile-device management. * Knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, access-control lists, and network-security principles. * Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, patching, and upgrading network devices and services. * Ability to develop clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust background investigation or designation., * Experience supporting Federal Government networks or other regulated enterprise environments. * Experience with Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management. * Experience with Cisco wireless controllers, routers, and switches. * Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and compliance activities. * Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, CompTIA, Splunk, F5, Microsoft, or VMware certifications. ## Description RIVA Solutions is seeking an experienced Network and Computer Systems Administrator (Firewall Engineer) to install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco Identity Services Engine, enterprise wireless technologies, F5 Networks load balancing, Splunk or comparable SIEM platforms, and endpoint-management tools. This role works closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and service-management teams to maintain secure access, resolve incidents, implement approved changes, and improve network performance and resilience.
