Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Demonstrated effective writing and verbal communication skills. * Experience using technology in teaching., * A doctoral degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. * Experience in developing both face-to-face and online courses. * Experience in curriculum development and program assessment. * Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty. ## Description This position is responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in service activities such as program development, course development, program assessment, and committee leadership. Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate Cybersecurity and Information Technology courses, including but not limited to Foundations of Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Cloud Security, Computer Forensics, Computer Networks, and Programming. This position is scheduled to start Fall 2027 with the possibility of a Spring 2027 start. UNT Dallas is bridging the gap between education and workforce readiness through our innovative Classroom to Career initiative. We seek faculty in all disciplines who are eager to contribute actively to this transformative, campus-wide initiative., * This position is responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester and participating in in service activities such as program development, course development, program assessment, and committee leadership. * The successful applicant will be the inaugural cybersecurity instructor at UNT Dallas, as well as provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate Cybersecurity and Information Technology courses, including but not limited to Foundations of Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Cloud Security, Computer Forensics, Computer Networks, and Programming. Physical Requirements * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces. * Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Environmental Hazards * No adverse environmental conditions expected.
