* Bachelor's of Science in mechanical engineering.
 * Previous experience working in Idea Forge.

What You Will Need

 * Excellent organizational and communication skills.
 * Technical knowledge of a variety of engineering topics, such as: manufacturing, fabrication, design, and analysis., * Previous experience with ME Senior Design program.
 * Previous experience working in CU Boulder Mechanical Engineering and/or CU Boulder Idea Forge.

## Description

The Idea Forge, part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at CU Boulder, encourages applications for the Temporary Support Engineer position! The Support Engineer is a temporary position in the Idea Forge, a design and fabrication facility in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. This position provides support to the Idea Forge and Senior Design programs, assisting with administrative work, front desk support, facility maintenance, and curricular support.

 * Serve as part of the ME Senior Design technical support team, coordinating with course instructors and meeting regularly to provide engineering technical guidance.
 * Assist with needs assessments, evaluate enhancement opportunities, and implement strategic improvements to equipment inventory, software resources, and service offerings for student, faculty, and staff.
 * Assist with facilities and equipment assets within the Idea Forge, ensuring standard operating procedures, safety compliance protocols, and equipment maintenance, while coordinating student training and operational oversight.
