## About the Role

* Ideal: Highly experienced UNIX/Linux systems/security engineer proficient in C systems and network programming and systems integration in an enterprise environment

Must have:

 * Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating environments
 * Proficiency with UNIX/Linux systems and network programming IN C
 * Experience with Perl programming
 * Awareness of security concepts and defensive programming
 * Familiarity with Kerberos
 * Ability to work to delivery deadlines

Very nice to have

 * Experience of contributing to open source projects
 * Familiarity with Python
 * Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Nice to have:

 * Experience with deployment automation pipelines (Jenkins)
 * Kerberos development experience
 * Comfort working in an agile development environment

What we are not seeking:

 * Pure developers unfamiliar with deployment and problem resolution challenges
 * Embedded C developers
 * High level language developers are unfamiliar with direct use of the UNIX/Linux C system interface.
