## About the Role

* 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with significant experience supporting service provider, telecommunications, cable, ISP, or carrier-grade environments.

 * Deep hands-on expertise designing and architecting large-scale networks utilizing: BGP (iBGP, eBGP, route policy, communities), OSPF, ISIS, MPLS

 * Strong experience with MPLS technologies, including: L2VPN / L3VPN, RSVP-TE, LDP, Traffic Engineering, Fast Reroute

 * Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or modernizing core/backbone network infrastructure in a service provider environment.

 * Bachelor's or Associate degree in a field related to Computer Networking * Segment Routing (SR-MPLS and/or SRv6)

 * EVPN/VXLAN architecture and deployment

 * Experience with large-scale core network refreshes, migrations, or greenfield network buildouts

 * Experience evaluating and selecting networking vendors and technologies

 * Advanced industry certifications such as CCNP-SP, CCIE, JNCIP-SP, JNCIE-SP, or equivalent

## Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Principal Engineer, to support a net-new core network modernization initiative. As a Principal Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping network strategy, ensuring stability and performance across enterprise-grade environments, and mentoring engineering talent to elevate the organization's technical capabilities. You'll bridge high-level business priorities with scalable, resilient, and increasingly automated network execution.
