Amentum is looking for a Journeyman Software Developer to join our growing team in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. Remote/hybrid work may be allowed with the possibility that it may change to 100% working on-site based on the customer's needs. You must currently live within 1 hour of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base or being willing to relocate to the area. You do not need to know everything yet. We want someone who is curious, eager to learn, and excited to build things that help real people. You will get hands-on experience in a supportive environment. We will teach you how to write clean code, spot bugs, and solve complex problems. If you love to learn, want to grow your skills, and enjoy working in a team, you belong here!, * Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline and at least 2 years of software development experience * Or a High school diploma/GED, and at least 3 years of software development experience * At least 1 year of experience with Java development and unit/integration testing of code * Experience with build tools, such as Ant and Maven * Experience with CM tools, such as SVN and Git * Must live within one (1) hour of Wright Patterson Air Force Base or be willing to relocate to the area prior to your start date * Must be able and willing to physically exert up to 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position is otherwise sedentary, involving sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. * Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
