While previous underground mining experience is valued, it is not required. We are looking for someone with a solid automation background, strong troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to learn our products and applications., We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and working with industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude, strong customer focus, and a willingness to travel to customer sites are essential., * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience will also be considered. * Experience with industrial automation, machine controls, or electrical control systems. * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. * Ability to work in an underground environment. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with one or more of the following are encouraged to apply: * Experience with HBT PMC-R controller systems, or a willingness to learn. * Experience supporting CST (Conveyor System Technology) controls, or a willingness to learn. * Experience working with PLCs. Knowledge of ladder logic is an asset. * Experience configuring and troubleshooting HMI systems. * Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, or CAN. * Knowledge of industrial electrical control systems. * Familiarity with hydraulic or electro-hydraulic systems. * Experience working with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or mining equipment. * Underground mining experience is valued but not required. ## Description HBT Americas is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Automation team in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
