SysML experience preferred * Experience performing optimum system function allocation to hardware and software requirements * Demonstrated success in developing descriptive and analytical models that prove the system satisfies requirements and the ability to quickly capture and process data in tools like MATLAB for debugging and specification verification * Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work in an integrated product team environment * Experience working on Department of Defense contracts * Candidate must be a US Citizen * Current active Secret (or higher) security clearance Preferred Qualifications for Consulting Engineer System Architect: * Experience in Mission Architecting and performing Operations Analysis to trade mission-level concept of operations (CONOPS) and derive mission system requirements utilizing model-based systems engineering * Experience capturing system requirements and implementing descriptive system level models and architectures in tools such as Rhapsody, Cameo, Capella or DOORS * Prior experience designing hardware, firmware, and programming software to best allocate functions for each product * Ability to monitor hardware and software design teams with critical insight to know when the teams are not on path to s uccessful implementation and then be able help steer the team to a successful solution * Experience in architecting Electronic Warfare RF systems and/or Electro-optical / Infrared (EOIR) countermeasure and targeting systems * Active Top Secret security clearance ## Description Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of mission and total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. As a Consulting Engineer System Architect, you will be expected to demonstrate the following behaviors: * Knowledge, Skills and Ability - Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. Viewed as expert within the field. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Plans R & D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives. Work accomplished typically supports long-range strategic goals. Work is checked only for the effectiveness of results obtained, typically requiring a long-term perspective. Virtually self-supervisory. * Impact - Designs research and develop highly advanced new applications resulting in new product/business opportunities for the company. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would have a long-term negative effect on organization reputation and business posture. * Liaison - Serves as consultant to top management in long-range company planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements. Prime spokesperson on company's technical capabilities and future directions.
