As part of the Analytics team, this role owns the product backlog for assigned data products end-to-end and acts as the liaison between the business and the engineering team - partnering day-to-day with marketing, operations, sales, member services, data engineers, and data architects to turn MDVIP's data assets into measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate pairs true mastery of data - hands-on SQL and Python, and the instinct to answer questions with evidence rather than opinion - with hands-on experience applying AI, and a relentless focus on translating what the business needs into what gets built, and what gets built into results., * Develop deep product expertise from both a business and technical perspective by understanding doctor and patient personas, value proposition, competitive landscape, business workflows, and the data assets, architecture, and technical components that power them. * Own the product backlog and requirements for assigned data products, working directly with business partners in marketing, operations, sales, and member services to understand their goals - then partnering with the engineering team (business analysts, data engineers, data architects, development managers, etc.) to translate those goals into clear, actionable user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria grounded in data. * Design the conceptual data models that turn business questions into a shared, well-structured view of MDVIP's data - defining entities, relationships, metrics, and definitions, and partnering with data architects and data engineers to carry those models through to physical implementation. * Demonstrate mastery of data at every step of the product development process: personally query, analyze, and interrogate data (SQL, Python) to size opportunities, prioritize the backlog, measure ROI on delivered features, and produce reporting that clearly connects roadmap delivery to MDVIP business outcomes and quantifies the next opportunities for improvement. * Facilitate the team's agile ceremonies - running scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews - to drive clarity and alignment across business and engineering, even where requirements are ambiguous or evolving. * Define and own the success metrics for every product and feature shipped - establishing baselines with business partners before launch, instrumenting for measurement, and reporting actual business impact (revenue, retention, efficiency, member experience) after release. * Apply AI throughout the product lifecycle - using AI tools to accelerate analysis, requirements development, prototyping, and testing - and champion an AI-first approach to how data products are built and delivered. * Drive AI-based data self-service capabilities in partnership with marketing, operations, and other business teams - empowering business users to answer their own questions from key data assets, reducing dependence on custom dashboards and one-off reporting, and multiplying the business impact of MDVIP's data platform. * Build wireframes and mockups for dashboards and data visualization using BI tools - defining how metrics, layouts, and interactions should work before the build, and iterating with business users and developers so the delivered visualizations answer the right questions. * Analyze the current platform in the context of end-to-end business processes - spanning marketing campaigns, sales workflows, member services operations, and the systems behind them; use data to define and quantify operational problems, recommend enhancements, and walk each enhancement through the development process from planning and preparation to testing and implementation. * Validate solutions by performing quality assurance and by managing and executing user acceptance (UAT) plans with business stakeholders - collaborating with the engineering team during user testing and complex validation sessions, responding to technical and functional product questions, and reformulating solutions as necessary to ensure the delivered product meets the business need. * Provide product input into architecture decisions for EMR and proprietary data assets, helping ensure these assets power AI-driven insights, business team effectiveness, and a best-in-class member experience as part of a member's health journey. * Apply working knowledge of the healthcare industry to translate problems, needs, and opportunities into well-formed user stories, while ensuring all assigned products meet healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and other relevant compliance standards.
