Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of basic scientific principles in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and/or protein engineering is a plus. * Meticulous, patient, and organized, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with diverse scientific and technical stakeholders. * Motivated and self-directed, with the ability to complete projects in a highly collaborative, team-oriented setting. ## Description The Department of Protein Sciences at Genentech is seeking a talented, high-spirited automation specialist to join a world-class team focused on generating target proteins that support small- and large-molecule drug discovery. This highly collaborative role sits at the interface of protein expression, cell engineering, research biology, and other groups. You will work closely with scientists and group leaders across and beyond the Drug Discovery organization to enhance protein production, nucleic acid library generation, cell line development, and the exploration of new therapeutic modalities. This position is based in South San Francisco, on site.
