## About the Role

* Education: Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or a minimum of five years Information Technology experience., * Experience with providing end-user support on PCs, strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Networks (File shares, NTFS permissions, printers, general TCP/IP networking) and Hardware (hands on experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and replacement) all preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.

## Description

* Develops and maintains hospital IT policies and procedures.
 * Is responsible for hardware/software configuration, setup, maintenance and repair.
 * Possesses general knowledge of networks and VPNs.
 * Provides end-user support, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
 * Authors/maintains IT documentation, including software/hardware user guides.
 * Serves as the primary trainer for hospital staff in all matters relating to computer hardware and assists Department Leaders in training and implementation of software.
 * Responsible for IP based telephone equipment.
 * Coordinates and participates in the computer activities of the hospital to ensure continuous, accurate, timely, and cost-effective services are provided.
 * Interacts with all departments in the hospital and communicates effectively to ensure efficient computer systems operation.
 * Ensures that all departmental and hospital policies and procedures are followed so that the integrity of the hospital is maintained, with an emphasis on privacy and security.
 * Monitors departmental activities and facility hardware and software to identify and correct problems that would impede computer system functions.
 * Provides technical expertise and problem solving techniques to the department and the facility to achieve desired results in computer applications.
 * Oversees employees of the IT Department
 * May include participation in on-call rotation
