This role requires a clear understanding of platform capabilities, configuration boundaries, and technical complexity, and works in close partnership with Implementation Consultants and delivery teams, supporting - but not replacing - Product Owners. Implementation Analysts work from templates owned and maintained by Product, cloning and populating them to capture client-specific context, configuration needs, and program details. They do not author new feature specifications or create requirements outside of existing templates. When a client need falls outside available templates, the Implementation Analyst escalates to Product rather than attempting to document it independently., * Document structured client discovery sessions - capture patient population, therapy characteristics, prescriber and pharmacy channel design, call center workflow requirements, data inputs and outputs, and edge cases * Translate client conversations into structured delivery inputs: configuration specifications, data mapping requirements, workflow documentation, and edge case handling guides * Partner with the Implementation Consultant to validate that the program design accurately reflects client intent before delivery begins * Review configuration and builds during development to confirm alignment with documented client requirements - flag discrepancies before they reach QAIdentify when a client requirement cannot be met through existing platform capabilities and surface it clearly to the Implementation Consultant for formal escalation to Product * Maintain current documentation throughout the engagement - requirements, decisions, change log, and open questions * Participate in UAT for the programs they support, where appropriate, coordinating with the Implementation Manager on participant logistics * Support the development of training and change management materials by providing accurate documentation of configured workflows and edge case handling * Contribute to template and knowledge base maintenance - document reusable patterns and client context insights that can improve future implementations * Support the hypercare period post-launch by monitoring issues and helping triage whether they represent configuration errors, training gaps, or platform defects requiring escalation ## Related Videos - [A Developer's Framework for Any Tool Migration](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2035-a-developer-s-framework-for-any-tool-migration) - [Improving quality with Agentic AI with Rovo Dev and Xray](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2005-improving-quality-with-agentic-ai-with-rovo-dev-and-xray) - [Web-based Information Visualization](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/84-web-based-information-visualization) - [AIQSpecFlow: Improves and automates your agile process of specification and creation of testcases.](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100084-aiqspecflow-improves-and-automates-your-agile-process-of-specification-and-creation-of-testcases) - [Integrate your Cognitive Assistant with 3rd-party DBs and software](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/249-integrate-your-cognitive-assistant-with-3rd-party-dbs-and-software) - [Collaboration Quantified: Lessons from Open Source Developer Networks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1422-collaboration-quantified-lessons-from-open-source-developer-networks) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Why developer experience matters](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/514-why-developer-experience-matters) - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers) - [Technical Documentation For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/128-technical-documentation-for-developers) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production)
